"Let's Go Higher" By Jordan Knight - Lyrics

You're rattlin' my world like an earthquake
I'm up in the clouds like ooooo o0o ooo
Somebody bring me down(me down) again (again)
I'm tryin' to keep it real when it feels fake,
But I don't know how, to do-oooo o0o ooo
I'm losin' solid ground(ground) again (again)

Don't pinch me (don't pinch me) I'm falling in love
And if I'm dreamin this baby (baby)
Then don't wake me up.
You got me hopin' an' wishin'(an' wishin')
That this could last for one more night.

Baby you and me we can take it to the middle of the dance floor,
(dance floor dance floor)
I got what you need,
Tell the DJ to keep it spinnin' on the dance floor
(dance floor dance floor)
And lets go higher, let's go higher
Let's go hiii-iii-iiigh
And let's go higher, let's go higher,
Let's go hiii-iii-iiigh
Get high off of love.

You could set it off if you want it
All you gotta to do is ooooo o0o ooo
Your body's calling me (me),...again (again)
And I don't wanna have any regrets
When I'm next to you it's like oooooo o0o oooo
Your touch is all I need(I need) ahh yeah (ahh yeah)

Don't pinch me,(don't pinch me) I'm falling in love
And if I'm dreamin this baby (baby)
Then don't wake me up.
You got me hopin' an' wishin'(an' wishin')
That this could last for one more night.

Baby you and me we can take it to the middle of the dance floor,
(dance floor dance floor)
I got what you need,
Tell the DJ to keep it spinnin' on the dance floor
(dance floor dance floor)
And lets go higher, let's go higher
Let's go hiii-iii-iiigh
And let's go higher, let's go higher,
Let's go hiii-iii-iiigh
Get high off of love.

Like a roller coaster, take me up and let me fall (fall)
Just as long as you're by my side, I'll go through it all
Get high off of love

Baby you and me we can take it to the middle of the dance floor
(dance floor dance floor)
I got what you need, tell the DJ keep it spinnin' on the dance floor
(dance floor dance floor)
And lets go higher, let's go higher
Let's go hiii-iii-iiigh
And let's go higher, let's go higher,
Let's go hiii-iii-iiigh
Get high off of love.
Baby get high off of love (love love love)
Get high off of love
Get high off of love
Baby we'll get high off of love (love love love)

My NKOTB Collage Board

Because I am somewhat of a pack rat, and sometimes, I just can't throw things away, the picture to the left becomes the result. :) It's loaded with a lot of my favorite things and my favorite people. But mostly, it's loaded with memories. Memories that are only special to me, and the people that are included on the board. I'm not done adding to it. I still need to get some more pictures printed of a few of my girls and add them on. It makes me smile everyday when I look at it. :)

Joe Mac Collage & NKOTB Stuff

The most SEXIEST man ALIVE, Mr. Joseph McIntyre!

The Joe Mac collage that I made. This is my most prized possession! These are some pics of Joe performing the "medley" during the spring tour. Some of the pics are mine, and some are not. During the Greenville, SC show 3-17-09, when Joe did this solo, after it was over I sit in my chair and cried like a baby. I'm not exactly sure what brought on the water works, maybe it was the way the medley was put together, like he was reminiscing about back in the day, or maybe it was the words form the partial part of "5 Brothers & a Million Sisters" that he sung, but something about Joe singing and dancing on stage, something that I had always wanted see from the time I heard of him being on Broadway, but never had the opportunity, brought me to tears. I was in awe of him on that stage doing his "thang"! He is an amazing performer. He has a way of keeping you captivated with his every move. I LOVE how he gets so focused on what he is doing, his facial expressions, his body language, a voice that's a smooth as butter, those beautiful ice blue eyes, and that killer smile. I will definitely be a JoeMacGirl For LIFE!

The New Kids display that I have in my room. This is just a very small amount of my New Kids stuff. the rest is in a tote in my closet.

Old school New Kids buttons, old school New Kids water bottle, and the photo album that I made to hold all my concert pics.

Reunion Tour Concert Program for the October 29, 2008 show in Atlanta, Ga. Old school "Step By Step" VHS tape from 1990. & my Joe Mac doll that @GeminiTwisted got me for my birthday last year.

My "If You Go Away" 45' single that @GeminiTwisted got me for my birthday last year. The blue cup is mine from back in the day, along with my old school Joe button & new school Joe button, :)

History in the Making

It seems that the talk of the NKOTB/BSB tour has some fans in an uproar!

My first thoughts - OMG! This can't be! WHY? Why would they pick the Backstreet Boys? Of all the bands to choose from, WHY THEM!? ... To say the least, I wasn't happy with the decision, but had already made up my mind that I was going to the show to see MY GUYS no matter WHO they were touring with. PERIOD!

Then, after thinking about it for awhile and talking with a few friends about how they felt. it hit me!

Rewind to 1994 - NKOTB disbands and leaves millions of us devastated! Then, there are these other boy bands popping up - Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, 98 Degrees- just to name a few. NKOTB fans are still in mourning for their favorite band & seeing all the attention going to these other bands, pissed us off & some of us, like me, refused to jump on the new "boy band wagon"!

A die hard NKOTB fan would have defended them no matter what the risk was, and on several occasions, we did! And in the end, after all the time, energy and love that we put into them, they were gone. Alot of us, like I said, were devastated. Though, the devastation we had, did nothing to deplete the love we felt for them, instead, it made us long for more! So, hoping on the coat tails of a new band was out of the question! Why? Because in our hearts, NO BAND could EVER take their place! The new bands hitting the music scene, were in a way, taking the place of NKOTB, and that too, was unacceptable.

So, the way I see it, it all comes down to feelings. And if you were not a die hard fan, you won't understand it, but I'll try to explain it the best way I can.

Devastation turned to longing and dreaming. Longing and dreaming turned to "OMG, butterflies in the tummy, NKOTB is back, I feel 13 again!" All those feelings from being a pre-teen/teenager came back, we celebrated, we partied, we cried, and we had the time of our lives. We were happy again, we loved again, we smiled again, we cared again,- we bonded. Since 2008 we have been on a roller coaster of happiness and we are loving every minute of it! Now, the hint of a tour with one of the bands that set out to win the hearts of NKOTB fans in their absence, stirs up the feelings we had when we felt as if they were "taking over" It's a fear. A fear of change. It's a fear of loosing NKOTB again. And, it's a fear of the "other bands" taking over,...again.

Now, on the other hand, a friend brought up the point that this is quite possibly one of the biggest business moves that NKOTB could have made. Teaming up with the biggest selling boy bands, after NKOTB of course, and putting the talents of both groups in one tour and possibly adding a 3rd - this could open the doors to bring together some of the best bands in the world and perform on one stage! History in the making? I believe so! ;)

I've had time to think this over and while I'm still not a BSB fan, I say BRING IT ON!

My NKOTB sistahs, remember this line - "I don't know how it's gonna be, but the last time, we made history. So, tell your mama and your sistah too, that the New Kids are coming back for you." ?

Yeah,... you get it... Gonna make history for a 3rd time! All you gotta do is change the lyric line a little bit to something like...

"Tell ya daughters and your nieces, too that the New Kids are changing history, just for you!" ..... cute, huh?

Blockheads - How cool!!!

Located at the corner of 34th St. and 3rd Ave. I believe that we will have to visit this place while in NYC in June. I think it would be a PERFECT spot for a BLOCKHEAD party. I checked out the online menu, it seems reasonably priced. And, on top of that, it's my FAVORITE - MEXICAN FOOD!!!!!

60 - 20 - 20

"@DonnieWahlberg 60-20-20. 60% simply fans, 20% super hard core, 20% come out for big events only. That's a fair and simple ratio."

That probably is a good ratio. Seems that some are not taking this so well.
This is my opinion.

(this is not a rant or a vent - just my opinion.)

I've been a fan since 1988 and I consider myself a HARDCORE fan. But, let me also explain this. I have been to a total of 4 NKOTB concerts 1st -1990, 2nd - 2008, 3rd & 4th - 2009. I attended Donnie's "I Got It" party in Atlanta and Jordan Idol in Atlanta. If Joe had of come close to my area, I would have went to his show also, I mean, come on, I'm a Joe Girl!

I consider myself hardcore because I still have stuff from back in the day, and have added to that collection in the past 2 years.

I consider myself hardcore, because I still record things on TV that they appear on.

I consider myself hardcore, because I love those 5 guys. They are my brothers.

I consider myself hardcore, because I'm a member of the NK Army, and very PROUD of it.

I consider myself hardcore, because I follow them all on Twitter, and when I get a tweet from one of them or one of my sisters get a tweet from them, I get emotional.

I consider myself hardcore, because when one of my sisters call me at 2am after a concert, telling me that Jon Knight made her freaking year, I get emotional and we cry together.

I consider myself hardcore because when one of my sisters calls me at 12 midnight, telling me that she sat in Donnie Wahlberg's lap during the Q&A session, after the DVD screening, I cry happy tears with her.

I consider myself hardcore, because I am one of a million sisters.

I consider myself a hardcore fan, because I GET IT!

While I didn't purchase a MacPack, a Coming Home DVD, a Jewlery Box, a platinum record, book a cabin on the cruise, fly to the Today's Show or attend the HOB Christmas show, it does not mean that I'm not a hardcore fan. It simply means, I could not afford them. It broke my heart that I wasn't able to buy a MacPack, and a Coming Home DVD, but I'm a single mother raising to special needs children, I have responsibilities that I have to attend to, before I can satisfy my wants.

Without having these things, does that mean I'm any less of a fan? HELL NO! I'm a BLOCKHEAD. A Blockhead FOR LIFE!!

Donnie wasn't putting any of us down, when he mentioned the percentages, it was making a comment. He loves us, and would never put us down. I know that in my heart. I've looked into his eyes and I seen the love. It's real.

Another Poem. Untitled.

K, I was just playing around today and I started writing. It was actually supposed to be a song in reply to Joe's new song "5 Brothers and a Million Sisters"... but I kind of got carried away, so now it's a poem. Fair warning though, it's a little on the long side :) and it's untitled. ..... (This was wrote in April 09)

Dancin' 'round the house, had the radio blarin'
A familiar voiced filled the air, and
I stopped dead in my tracks 'cause I couldn't believe it.
New Kids on the Block had just released it.
"Summertime" is what they sang, they said it'd never be the same.

Got me thinkin' 'bout back in the day,
and how they stole my heart away.
And all these memories filled my head,
Memories I knew I'd never forget,
So I did a search .....on the internet.

A Reunion Tour is what I found, said they were Atlanta bound.
Called up my girls, gave 'em a hint, said were going on a road trip.
A blast from our past and we can't miss it!

New Kids on the Block are coming back you see.
New kids on the Block are coming back to me!

We got to the arena, found our seats.
Sitin' there waitin' as my heart skipped beats.
When they rose up from the stage, oh man, I was blown away!
Butterflies in my stomach, tears filled my eyes at that moment.

New Kids on the Block came back, you see.
New Kids on the Block came back to me!

Dancin' and singin' along with the crowd.
We didn't care how crazy, or how loud.
Lost in the moment, didn't want to be found.
We stood there, like an army, strong and proud.

New Kids on the Block came back, you see.
New Kids on the Block came back to me!

When the Spring Tour rolled around,
I called up my girls and we did it again.
Jumped in the car and headed to Greenville.

New Kids on the Block came back, you see.
New Kids on the Block came back to me!

This time, I went Five Star! Oh My God, There they are!
Twenty one years, and I can't believe it.
They look just like they did when we were kids!
Never thought I'd see this day, but God, how I hoped and prayed.
It was a dream come true, I'd have to say!

Jon was a sweetheart, his hugs were the best!
Let me tell you about the rest.
Donnie and Danny, we had a moment too.
Jordan was a cutie, Oh my god, I stepped on his shoe!
Then there was the man, with the Baby Blues,
What do I say? What do I do?
He smiled at me, and gave me a wink.
He doesn't know it, but my knees went weak!
He liked my shirt, said I was sweet.
I put my hand to my heart, had to check for a beat!
His eyes, they sparkled like diamonds.
I can't believe I didn't start cryin'!
He made my day, my year, my life.
Even though *I* was supposed to be his wife!

New Kids on the Block came back, you see.
New Kids on the Block came back to me!

Again I stood there with the crowd.
Dancin' like crazy, and singin' real loud.
I had a moment, during that show, when Joe Mac sang his solo.
"Five brothas and a million sistahs, didn't know how much I mised ya'
were the words that he said, and those words stuck in my head.
I looked around at the crowd, standing there, strong and proud.
He's right you know?
We are a family, and the love, ...it shows!
A room full of strangers, brought together by a bond
that formed twenty one years ago.

New Kids on the Block came back, you see.
New Kids on the Block came back to me!

Summer Tour they said, "Full Service" is what you'll get!
The Summer of our lives, and we'll never forget.
So, hop a train, a bus, a car, or a flight,
Just make sure you got your mind right!
Face Time is REAL. There are no fakers in this platoon.
The General has spoken, and his army is in tune!

I called up my girls, they all know the deal.
Atlanta, Ga is where we will get our fill.
The first show of the summer, it's going to be a blast!
Better get your tickets now, they are going fast!

They made history back in the day.
Some people said they were over played.
The critics think they know it all, like when a band will rise or fall.
Nobody knows how it's going to be but, New Kids have again
Made history!
They shocked the world one year ago.
The critics need to just go with the flow!
One day, they will learn, we don't give a d.amn about that they have to say, we do things the NKOTB way!
Blockheads are strong and proud. Mess with our boys,
we will put you on the ground!
We will fight to the death, if that's what it takes. We'll do anything to get the story straight!

Loud and Proud and Strong we are,
Blockheads forever, no need to say any more.
This is one army that won't be defeated,
And you, better believe it!
Anytime we get in a fix, we all get together and shout
LET'S GET THIS!

They didn't do it for the fame, money or glory.
They did it for us,
The fans, supporters,....
Their sistahs that love them adoringly!

New Kids on the Block came back, you see.
New Kids on the Block came back for you, and me!
